On Carol's behalf, SPCP wrote to Governor Bush about the non-action of the Agency in the face of such extreme violations of health care law (state and federal). b. Carol did not know the nurse and had made a hospital complaint - nothing involving the board of nursing. Since AHCA had constantly told her there was nothing wrong, she could not comprehend this reply! 3. Carol called the person at the number given by Mr. King-Shaw, jr. 4. Her reply attacked the integrity of such a document [fax to Governor Bush on April 30, 2001 (htm)] 6. AHCA's General Counsel, Julie Gallagher replied [letter of May 29, 2001 (htm)] [original fax - page 2 of 2 -same as in 2 a above]. (The letter was not meant for Carol; she would obviously know it was untrue). The "KING-SHAW" letter seems to have been PRODUCED to make the Patient's Rights Organization think that Carol was not telling the truth. An official document seems to have been altered and then sent through the wires at the order of the now second HCFA man in major control of overlooking the Medicare/ Medicaid program of the entire United States. CAN A MAN of SUCH INTEGRITY, BE ALLOWED TO HAVE SUCH POWER OVER THE HEALTH CARE OF MILLIONS OF MEDICARE AND MEDICAID PATIENTS? Carol feels her mother, Zoe, was unnecessarily tortured and then possibly intentionally neglected (They might call it MURDER (intentional abuse and neglect) by anyone, not in the medical profession). Motive: to hide the Medicare fraud (criminal). Zoe's care cost approximately $100,000 ($66,000 hospital (3 weeks) and SNF $12,000 (11-12 days) plus doctors and laboratories. Zoe had had a common stroke, which will affect many of us baby boomers and elderly in the following years (4 out of 5 families will be affected). It was not a bleeding stroke [the dangerous kind] until medical intervention (concealed from Carol and the health authorities). Carol was available and more than willing to take care of her mother, but was never presented this possibility. The entire treatment was geared to making money and institutionalizing the patient. In order to justify their treatment and Medicare bill, a whole new scenario had to be invented. This fraudulent justification (which may even involve untrue entries about "psychological treatment" and fraudulent "home health care") was willingly accepted by the Medicare control authorities as truth in spite of their own knowledge that this could not be. One can think of better ways to spend taxpayer dollars than waste them on damaging health care measures! Documentation for medical necessity seems to have been provided in multiple versions and multiple claims by the actual Hospital (Blake Medical Center) and actual nursing home (IHS of Bradenton) - using nonexistent names (hospital, skilled nursing facility and patient) and apparently documented care and health conditions, about which Carol still knows nothing although she tried to be actively involved with the care of her mother during the hospitalization and the SNF stay. The care was a nightmare and the health control and laws as experienced under the power of Ruben King-Shaw were worse. All the above had Mr. RUBEN KING-SHAW, JR's Approval .
